Located at Pappa Bar og Salong, a cultural bar that embodies Bergen’s bohemian spirit, our jam session is built on a "low threshold, high level" philosophy.

No fixed setlists.

Just musicians meeting, plugging in, and building something unique in the moment. The sound moves through Soul, Funk, Blues, Jazz, Motown, Rock, Reggae, Latin, and Hip-Hop. It’s about listening, playing together, and being present when the magic happens.

THE JAM: Our house band kicks things off with a tight opening set to set the tone. After that, the stage opens up. Musicians rotate in and out, guided by our host Daniel, who ensures the transitions are smooth and the energy stays right.

THE AFTER-PARTY: Once the instruments are packed, the DJ takes over, blending the jam’s energy into Bergen’s vibrant nightlife until the early hours.

 MEET THE HOUSE BAND (The Groove Keepers)

Meri Griffin: A Finnish–American powerhouse. Her voice travels from raw blues intensity to soulful warmth, shaped by years on international stages.

Damián Mariotti: Our Argentine heartbeat. A bassist and producer with 25+ years of experience, bringing deep Latin and Jazz influences to every pocket.

Kjetil Harestad: The front figure of wæ. He brings a distinct, offbeat edge with surf-garage textures and atmospheric soul.

Daniel Vivas: The rhythmic engine and host of the night; a precision drummer who masters the groove to connect musicians and keep the PAPPA JAM energy at its peak.

Erlend Myrhaug: The Bergen local. Our versatile guitarist who moves seamlessly between Rock, Pop, and Jazz with incredible feel and tone.
