Flere av byens mest driftige musikkollektiver og promotører har slått seg sammen og inviterer til tre kvelder med fest og konsert i historiske omgivelser! Dette er første gangen det arrangerres Øyanatt i de erværdige lokalene til Gamle Logen, og lineupen ser mildt sagt lovende ut. Nara Sounds, Rolig Records og Nora Collective er blant lagene som er involvert, og på artistlisten står ingen ringere enn Arif, kanadiske SadBoi, Chris Abolade, sør-afrikanske Omagoqa, Amara og mange flere. I tillegg ryktes det om eksklusive og uannonserte gjesteopptredener fra venner og kjente…

Det canadiske stjerneskuddet SadBoi har denne sommeren tatt scener over hele Europa med storm, godt hjupet av et heftig sceneshow og hengivne followers (som passende nok går under navnet "The CryBabiez"). Denne torsdagen står Øyanatt og Oslo for tur! SadBoi heter egentlig Ebhoni Cato O'Garro har sine røtter på Jamaica og i Nicaragua, noe som også gjenspeiler seg i hennes helt egne og unike sound: en blanding av RnB, rap, rock, reggae, dancehall og andre karibiske influenser. OMAGOQA har i løpet av de siste tiåret markert seg som et av de mest innovative navnene på den Sør-Afrikanske klubbscenen. Med fokus på dyp bass og nyskapende perkusjon har disse tre DJene og produsentene fra Durban stått for en fornying av den lokale Gqom-sjangeren. Omagoqa er kjent for sin svært dansbare miks av house, elektronika og afrikanske rytmer.
LIAR er en elektronisk trio basert mellom Oslo og Berlin. Gruppa har siden debuten på Bylarm i 2022 sluppet et knippe sterke låter som henter inspirasjon fra så forskjellige kilder som R&B, garage, dub, techno-pop og jazz.

Som om ikke dette var nok har Nara Sounds også med seg en hel godteripose av Oslos hotteste DJs og produsenter: Adipop, Darkowa, Nora Mamdu, Nora Pagu, Na3ima, Morstaq og Tia Taro.

SADBOI (CA)
Ebhoni Cato O'Garro, aka "SadBoi," is an Atlanta-based artist originally from Toronto, Canada. With a Jamaican & Antiguan heritage deeply ingrained in her musical roots, SadBoi expertly weaves elements of reggae, dancehall, and Caribbean culture into her captivating sound, blending R&B, rap, rock, and pop, creating a unique sound that resonates with her diverse fanbase. Her fans, known as "The Crybabiez," share a grungy, alternative, and underground aesthetic, embodying a badass feminine energy. SadBoi embraces vulnerability and emotional depth in her music, captivating listeners with soulful vocals and introspective lyrics. She fearlessly addresses themes of love, heartbreak, and self-discovery, connecting with her audience on a profound level. Her songs reflect her personal journey and the complexities of human emotions as she showcases a growing discography of captivating tracks that encompass catchy hooks and genuine storytelling. OMAGOQA (ZA)
Hailing from Durban, South Africa, the trio Omagoqa consisting of Andile Mazibuko (Ma_A), Franco Makhathini (KB) and Njabulo Sibiya (Chase), is rooted in the rhythmic pulse of percussion and bass, the essence of Gqom. Their musical odyssey began as individual journeys in 2012, leading to the formation of the collective Unticipated Sounds in 2014. Venturing on, they soon founded Omagoqa, with their foundational tools being a simple laptop and FL Studio. Initially influenced by South Africa’s hailing house music and stalwarts such as Da Capo and Duke Soul, their sound matured drawing inspiration from the unique style of DJ Lag amongst others. Omagoqa stand today as a testament to the evolving and vibrant gqom genre, creating new wave gqom with the artistic intention to always let the masses feel the indigenous authenticity of sound. Their music showcases a version of gqom coined ‘uThayela’ & ‘Is’qinsi’. ‘uThayela’ translates literally to “corrugated iron” which you find being used as roofing material on most South African homes. It’s used to describe “a rougher sound with a harder bassline that it is made for clubs”. ‘Is’qinsi’ is described as an infusion between ‘uThayela’ and electronic sounds generally associated with foreign based Electronica type musical elements. Having been together for over 10 years, the trio have worked alongside and the likes of DBN Gogo, DJ Lag, Que DJ, Zvri, Jimbo Soundz, Cultivated Soulz, Scelo Gowane, Madanon, Newlandz & Dee Traits. From touring Europe and the UK in 2023, to performing at events like Ballantines Boiler Room, Omagoqa is slowly cementing their name in the music industry.

NARA SOUNDS:
Etter over 69 års samlet erfaring innenfor musikk og kultur, og utallige side-eyes, ble vi lei og tenkte “la oss bare gjøre det selv egentlig”. NARA er et kreativt kollektiv som består av djs, designere, tastemakere, bookere, kunstnere og over all baddies.

Klubbkonseptet vårt, NARA SOUNDS, er stedet for the gurlies, the gays, the theys and the allies som elsker å danse til elektronisk musikk fra hele verden. Her inviterer vi internasjonale og lokale acts som på hver sin måte er med på å pushe klubb og kultur fremover. Denne gangen har vi med oss stjerneskuddet SadBoi fra Canada, og sjangerdefinerende Omagoqa fra Sør-Afrika samt en godteripose av Oslos hotteste. Period.
